Porfolio

The following examples showcase my work on dashboards. For comprehensive details about these projects and others you can find the complete information on my GitHub repository.

Power BI Dashboards

I specialize in crafting user-friendly business dashboards that go beyond the basics, focusing on taking them to the next level. Each visual in my dashboards is customized, not just to display data but to reveal insights and facilitate a deeper understanding.  The dashboard design is unique and created to meet user needs.
I also enhance the user experience by incorporating various elements, such as buttons for clearing filters or hidden filters to save space.
In the example below, a dynamic Weekly Report is shown. The visuals in the report display trends, and not just the actual numbers from the week. The insights are conditionally formatted to provide users with a clear indication of the trend at first glance.

Example 1 Dynamic weekly report with customized KPIs

To guarantee the accurate functioning of KPIs, I craft complex DAX measures.
In the second example, there is a report comparing performance of all associates. There are specific DAX measures that remove filter context from the visuals to compute the average team performance, providing a basis for comparison with the performance of individual associates.
Furthermore, these measures have the added functionality of excluding associates with zero values from the calculation within the selected time frame.

Next Level KPI

In my reports, I focus on elevating visuals to the next level to offer a complete context, provide additional insights, and optimize space within the report. Take Example 3, where a KPI with weekly results is featured.
To show users with the complete context, I incorporated in the KPI YTD and WoW calculations, as well as line chart, showing the weekly results and Week-over-Week (WoW) calculations. A target bar is also integrated, highlighting weeks that do not fulfill the target by displaying values in red. The entire KPI is conditionally formatted to shift to a red color when the weekly result is below the target.

Another example can be seen below. The chart can be formatted either as a circle or a bar chart. Its purpose is to illustrate the extent to which the target has been accomplished, and provide additional insights.
The chart is dynamically formatted: it turns red when the value is below 50%, amber when the value falls between 50-100%, and green when the value equals or surpasses the target.

Dashboards in AWS Quicksight

In addition to Power BI, I have hands-on experience crafting dashboards with AWS Quicksight. Just like in Power BI, I consistently aim to deliver dynamic, visually appealing, and user-friendly experiences. Below is an example of one of my AWS Quicksight dashboards.

Python Data Visualization

In Python, I have experience leveraging libraries such as Pandas, Matplotlib, and Plotly to gain insights from raw datasets. Usually, I use Pandas to create histogram plots and understand the distribution of data across different variables or scatter plots to reveal relationships and correlations between variables.

Additionally, I've also utilized Python to generate more engaging plots. For example, the one shown below is an interactive plot created using Plotly, which provides Sales Analysis – profits vs units sold for specific countries from 2020 to 2023. Each bubble represents one country, and its size is determined by the count of sales. The color of the bubble indicates which region the country belongs to.
